Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, patient portal, telehealth platforms, and services provided by Vedrana Hodzic MD LLC doing business as Marisol Mental Health (“Marisol Mental Health,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).  By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree, please do not use the website or services.

Scope of Services

Marisol Mental Health is a virtual psychiatric practice providing mental health services to adults.

Services may include:

  • Psychiatric evaluation

  • Medication management

  • Psychotherapy (individual and/or group)

All services are delivered via telehealth as clinically appropriate and permitted by law.

Use of our website or informational materials does not create a provider–patient relationship. A provider–patient relationship is established only after appropriate intake, consent, and confirmation by a licensed clinician.

No Medical Advice

Content on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Eligibility & Location

Services, including telehealth services, are available only to adult individuals (18+) who are physically located in jurisdictions where our clinicians are licensed to practice at the time of service (Maryland).

By using our services, you represent that you are legally able to consent to treatment or have appropriate legal authority.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth services involve the delivery of mental health care using electronic communications. By participating in telehealth, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Telehealth may not be appropriate for all conditions and situations

  • Technology failures, disruptions, or security risks may occur

  • Telehealth is not suitable for emergency situations

Additional informed consent for telehealth may be required prior to treatment.

Emergencies

Marisol Mental Health does not provide emergency or crisis services through its website, email, messaging system, patient portal, or telehealth platforms. If yo are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, thoughts of harming yourself or someone else:

  • Call 911

  • Go to the nearest emergency room

  • Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)

Appropriateness of Care

Services are intended for outpatient care and may not be appropriate for all individuals or conditions.

We reserve the right to determine whether our practice is an appropriate clinical fit and may recommend alternative care when needed.

Fees & Payment

Marisol Mental Health is a self-pay (cash-based) practice.

Fees, cancellations, missed appointments, and payment policies are provided separately and must be agreed to prior to treatment. Marisol Mental Health reserves the right to modify scheduling and fee policies as permitted by law.

Communications

By contacting us via email, text message, patient portal, or other electronic means, you acknowledge that such communications may not be fully secure.  We do not guarantee immediate responses, and electronic communications should not be used for urgent or emergency matters.

You consent to receive communications related to your care, scheduling, billing, or administrative matters through reasonable means, including phone, voicemail, email, text message, or electronic portals, as permitted by law.

Privacy

Your use of services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices, which describe how we collect, use, and protect personal and health information. These documents are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, logos, and other materials, is the property of Marisol Mental Health or its licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the website or services for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data

  • Interfere with the operation or security of our platforms

  • Submit false or misleading information

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, services are provided “as is.” We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages related to website use.

To the extent permitted by law, Marisol Mental Health shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use our website or services.
