Clinical Approach and Philosophy

I am a Maryland-based psychiatrist who works with adults seeking support with their mental health and a deeper understanding of their emotions and behaviors. My approach emphasizes creating a reflective space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing, including patters behavior, emotions and relationships. Many individuals seek care when feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating. Together, we take the time to develop a better understanding of these experiences.

My medical training in psychiatry provided a strong foundation in both psychotherapy (talk therapy) and psychopharmacology (medication management). My approach is grounded in a psychodynamic framework, with the understanding that emotional life and symptoms are shaped by life experiences, relationships, and patterns that deserve thoughtful attention. I integrate multiple therapeutic modalities depending on individual needs, and may incorporate medication management when appropriate, as well as principles of lifestyle psychiatry.

I have a clinical focus on helping individuals navigate depression, grief, life transitions, as well as stress-related concerns, to achieve mental well-being. In addition to individual treatment, I also offer group therapy for grief, providing a space for shared experience, connection and support.

Committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care, I maintain a limited caseload to ensure individualized and consistent care for every person I work with.
